1" Dia Crankshaft Mandrel for Small Block Chevy

6061 T6 Aluminum 3-bolt Crankshaft Mandrel with 1" industry standard shaft size attaches to front of balancer is located and held in position by the 3 OEM Pattern Balancer bolts (not included) to center it. Utilizes a 1/8" standard keyway slot which allows you to use this mandrel with pulleys from many different manufacturers, including GZ Motorsports. The 7/16" threaded hole may be drilled to 7/16" to allow installation of an extra long crank bolt if desired, GZ Motorsports can do this upon request.
This mandrel is designed for applications where the crankshaft bolt sticks out past the edge of the balancer, the mandrel has a recessed area on the backside to clear the crank bolt. If your engine's balancer has the crank bolt head below the surface of the balancer, like a Big Block Chevy, they you should use our CM201A Big Block Crank Mandrel design as it is lighter and has a locating lip on the backside.
All mandrels are designed to be attached to the balancer using the pulley mounting holes located on the balancer. This allows the crank bolt and washer to remain in place as required by aftermarket balancer manufacturers. All mandrels come with a 4" long spacer so that each mandrel pulley can be accurately located on the mandrel by cutting each to length and an end cap and bolt. The mandrels can be shortened as desired as the threaded 7/16 center hole is 2" deep. Each mandrel is of length to allow a mandrel pulley to be at a maximum distance of 4.5" from the back side mounting face, or face of balancer. All mandrels are compatible with crank trigger wheels either located on the balancer, or mandrel side.
