Drive your race car on the street some? No problem, even though our standard racing vacuum pumps can handle an occasional drive we've had requests for a kit to work specifically on street cars that see more miles and more low speed operating conditions. Our pumps like to see a little bit of oil to make them last and on a street car that may be seeing extended idling and low speed operation, a normal racing configuration may result in excessive wear to your pump.
We've solved this issue with the GZ Motorsports Street/Strip Vacuum Pump Kit which includes a breather tank with a special baffle that recirculates oil through pump, preventing it from running dry. In addition we have modified our racing vacuum pumps with an extra fitting for the recirculated oil to return to the pump and use extra tough modified Rulon wipers. It constantly circulates oil from the breather tank to the pump to allow you to operate a vacuum pump on the street, even when faced with low speed idling conditions.
Uses the Black Zylan Coated VP100 Sportman or the Polished Aluminum VP103 Pro Vacuum pump that has been modified for street use with a variety of money saving options. The basic kit includes a full bracket kit for mounting on either side of motor in upper or lower locations, a fixed single groove crank pulley and a vacuum pump v-belt pulley (your choice of vacuum pump pulley diameters), our BT3 breather tank with baffles and filter, 3 feet of red oil return hose.
Available Options include Hose and fitting Kits, Crank Mandrel Kit, additional Crank Mandrel Pulleys and a GZMS Vacuum Control Valve.
